CHENNAI CITY IN 17TH CENTURY














































































Chennai city, previously called as Madras, later the name has changed into Tamil name “CHENNAI”. Chennai is the fourth largest metropolitan area in India. Chennai had a population of 4.7 lakhs approximately in the last year. This city was established in the 17th century by the British. Chennai has been developing rapidly in both the technology and economy. It has many industrial base in automobile, technology, hardware, etc.., I add some pictures of old Chennai ,that is at the time of 17th century. After you seen the pictures you may surely realize about growth of the country.
